PRODUCT STORY :
Bobbinwork is a sewing technique that explores unconventional or textured yarn on the surface of a fabric. Sewn as machine-fed decorative stitches through the bobbins. It is made with Italian cotton mill-end-yarn on top of handwoven rayon fabric.
Mill-end-yarn is a yarn that is not long enough for a full skein. It is usually put into a clearance store and becomes very limited in its quantity. The bright turmeric stitches remind us of Indonesian spice, 'Kunyit' and the sweet taste of 'Madu'. The base fabric is made by pedal loom weavers in Ibu Lusi's house, Sleman.
