PRODUCT STORY :
Lurik is Indonesian traditional woven textile that is characterised with its stripes. It reminds us of Indonesian 'Pundi Beras' (rice sack) that has a natural rice colour and bold stripes. The fringe texture is made by unraveling the woven structure of the fabric and it is sewn together with a zig-zag stitch to secure the edges. The base fabric is handwoven with cotton yarn in Pak Jussi's house, Bantul.
